Mind Body Yoga is an initiative run by Yoga Teacher Laura McGlennon, combining Yoga with Mindfulness and Meditation practices.

Laura is a registered Senior Yoga Teacher with the Yoga Alliance Professionals teaching Sivananda and Ashtanga Yoga since 2004. A certified Youth Mindfulness, Teen Yoga UK and Yin Yoga Teacher.

A spiritual person with a long and continuing professional background in therapy and exercise, she always endeavours to share her training and knowledge with others.

As a knowledgeable and experienced professional teacher Laura is always looking for ways to improve her own and others lifestyle choices through continued learning, training and practice.

Yoga

Yoga originated in India thousands of years ago… it is the oldest system for personal development in the world and a complete science for life encompassing body mind and spirit.

Yoga postures known as ‘asanas’ (meaning steady pose) exercise every part of your body, strengthening, elongating stretching and toning the muscles and tendons releasing physical and mental tension. The joints and the spine become and remain more supple. The whole skeletal system will be strengthened and there will be an increased production of vital hormones.

Yoga sees the body as the vehicle of the Soul.
The internal organs receive massage and stimulation through the various movements of the postures and are toned into more efficient functioning. The glands are rejuvenated which helps to balance the emotions and improve your mental outlook on life. Yoga helps to keep all the bodies systems in radiant health. Yoga can be done by young & old to promote good health and long life.
